Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique et aux Énergies Alternatives
The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a key player in research, development and innovation in four main areas:
• defence and security,
• low carbon energies (nuclear and renewable energies),
• technological research for industry,
• fundamental research in the physical sciences and life sciences.
Drawing on its widely acknowledged expertise, the CEA actively participates in collaborative projects with a large number of academic and industrial partners.
The Laboratory of Innovation for New Energy Technology and Nanomaterials (LITEN) is one of CEA's Division. It carries out R&D on behalf of industrial partners from a wide range of market segments: energy, land transportation, aerospace, construction, civil engineering, environmental, and IT industries, amongst others.
The Nanosafety Laboratory is the CEA LITEN Lab involved in the Nanosafety, Exposure and Risks working groups. This Laboratory has a recognized expertise in nanoparticles (NPSs) measurement, detection, and characterization in gas and liquids, complex media and at workplace.
